Why Jewish Ministry?….

….

..

SOME PEOPLE ASK US, “WHY JEWISH MINISTRY?” BELOW ARE SOME OF THE REASONS WE GIVE IN RESPONSE.

….

….

  • The Gospel message is the power of salvation for everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile (Rom. 1:16).

  • The Jewish people were entrusted with the very words of God and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Messiah who is God over all (Rom. 9:4-5).

  • The Apostle Paul writes passionately that he wishes himself accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of his fellow Jewish brothers according to the flesh (Rom. 9:1-3).

  • Psalm 122:6 tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and that those who do so will be secure.

  • The only instance of prayer for the salvation of a lost people group is Romans 10:1 and it’s for the Jewish people.

  • Paul states that Israel has not been rejected by God because His gifts and calling are irrevocable (Rom. 11:28-29).

  • Israel’s transgression has meant riches for the Gentiles and opened the door to salvation in order that Gentiles might provoke them to jealousy (Rom. 11:11).

  • In Romans 15:27, Paul tells us that since we share in the Jewish people’s spiritual blessing, we owe it to them to share with them in our material blessings!

  • If the Jewish people’s transgression means riches for the world, just think how much greater riches their fullness will bring (Rom. 11:12).

  • God promises those who bless the Jewish people will themselves be blessed (Gen. 12:3).

  • The prophet Isaiah said he will not keep silent for the sake of Zion. For Jerusalem’s sake he will not keep quiet. He urges those who call on the Lord to cease from resting until he establishes Jerusalem and her righteousness goes forth like brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch (Isa. 62:1).

  • Jesus Himself looked out over Jerusalem with the desire to gather her children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. He went on to say that they would only see Him again when they welcomed him by saying “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord (Luke 13:34-35).

  • We are indebted to the disciples who followed a Rabbi named Yeshua and then in obedience took on the task of spreading His Message to all people!

  • Jesus came to the lost sheep of Israel and Paul says He will come again to Zion and on one glorious day “all Israel will be saved” (Rom. 11:26).

  • Finally, it is time to see what happens when followers of Yeshua set out with the intention to bring the Gospel Message back to the original source, the very people from whom our Messiah came!
