彌賽亞必引進和平，但仍需一些時候..Messiah will bring peace, but not immediately
….
但以理書9︰24-27；撒迦利亞書13︰7-8
若要說︰彌賽亞與那一件事相關？答案必是︰世界和平。彌賽亞是「和平之君」，必有一天，因祂的緣故，豺狼與綿羊羔同居。（以賽亞書9︰6；11︰6）
可惜的是，很多人都誤解了，他們以為彌賽亞來到，世界會即時有和平，祂也即時以王者身份統管全地。但是，希伯來聖經所描繪的並非如此。
首先，彌賽亞必須受苦，以至於死！此外，彌賽亞首次降臨，接着是一段「艱難的時候」！全地的和平並非即時來到。
撒迦利亞書13︰7提到「萬軍之耶和華＊說︰刀劍哪，應當興起，攻擊我的牧人和我的同伴」。
神的牧人就是彌賽亞（彌迦書5︰4）；撒迦利亞書提到祂會坐在神＊的寶座上，與神＊一起籌定和平（撒迦利亞書6︰13）。撒迦利亞書稱呼彌賽亞為神的同伴，就是這緣故。但是，神向這位神的同伴施以刑罰，以刀劍攻擊祂。
撒迦利亞接續他的預言︰
擊打牧人，羊就分散；
我必反手加在微小者的身上。
耶和華說：這全地的人，
三分之二必剪除而死，
三分之一仍必存留。
我要使這三分之一經火，
熬煉他們，如熬煉銀子；
試煉他們，如試煉金子。
（撒迦利亞書13︰7-9）
上文所述「艱難的時候」仍末來到？還是已經發生？無論答案怎樣，全地和平並沒有因彌賽亞出現而「即時」來到。
但以理書所描繪的也是一樣。天使加百列告訴但以理：彌賽亞會被剪除，其後是一段艱難的時候 （但以理書9︰24-27）
但以理書清楚指示彌賽亞何時被剪除。

If Messiah is associated with one thing it is world peace and rightly so. Messiah is the prince of peace and because of him will one day the wolf and lamb will dwell together (Isaiah 9:5(6), 11:6)
There is however a common misconception. Many think that when Messiah appears he has to immediately bring about world peace. Many think that Messiah will immediately reign as king on earth. However, the Tanakh gives us a different picture.
First, there will be suffering for Messiah, even death! Furthermore, a difficult time will follow Messiah’s first appearance! The kingdom of worldwide peace will not come immediately.
In Zechariah 13 we read ““Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man, my associate,” Declares HASHEM of hosts.” (Zechariah 13:7 NASB)
G-d’s shepherd is the Messiah (Micah 5:3(4)); and in the book of Zechariah we learn also that he will sit on HASHEM’s throne. Together with HASHEM he will plan peace (Zechariah 6:13). That’s why Zechariah can call Messiah G-d’s associate. However, G-d’s associate will be stricken by G-d’s sword, by divine judgment.
And this is how Zechariah’s prophecy continues:
Strike the Shepherd that the sheep may be scattered; and I will turn My hand against the little ones. “It will come about in all the land,” Declares the Lord, “That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; but the third will be left in it. “And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested.

Is this difficult time something still to come or did all this already happen? Whatever the answer, it is clear is that worldwide peace is not immediate.
The book of Daniel gives us the same picture. The angel Gabriel tells Daniel that “Messiah will be cut off” and that a difficult time would follow (Daniel 9:24-27).
The book of Daniel actually gives us clear indications when Messiah would be “cut off”.
